For Two Dell Execs, That Last Paycheck's Pretty Sweet

Cannon is scheduled to retire on Jan. 31 and will receive the lion's share of the severance money that Dell will be paying. Paid in three installments over the course of the next year, Cannon will take home $10 million, the AP reports.

Jarvis will receive the remainder of the money, about $1.25 million. Jarvis' payment will come in the form of one year's worth of salary, $625,000, and another $625,000 in bonuses from the company.

Both executives are casualties of the overall management shakeup that Dell announced in late 2007.

Michael Dell brought both Cannon and Jarvis into the fold in 2007 as part of a strategy to regain PC market share that the computer manufacturing company had lost.
