30 Notable IT Executive Moves: June 2022
Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Dell, Eaton, Trianz and AMD were among the tech companies to make executive hires during the month.
A new Eaton chief information security officer, a new chief revenue officer of Trianz and a new chief strategy officer at Advanced Micro Devices are among the major executive hires of June 2022.
Ruben Chacon, formerly of CDW; Seshi Vanguru, formerly of Brillio; and Mathew Hein, formerly of DBO Partners are just some of the names featured on CRN’s June 2022 executive moves list.
Microsoft, Amazon Web Services and Dell Technologies were among the other tech giants to make executive hires during the month as companies invest in resources for sales, technology and partners.

Those executives were Jason Roszak, formerly of VMware; Julia Chen, formerly of Cisco; and Carol Wilder, formerly of Puppet.
Who changed jobs in June 2022?
The job changes come during a period dubbed the “Great Resignation” due to elevated rates of Americans quitting their jobs. The number of Americans quitting decreased slightly in May, totaling 4.3 million quits, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The quits rate was 2.8 percent.

Julia Chen
Amazon Web Services hired Julia Chen last month as vice president of AWS Partner Core, according to her LinkedIn.
Chen came to the Seattle-based cloud computing giant after more than six years with Cisco, according to her LinkedIn. She left Cisco with the title of vice president of partner transformation.
In this role, she was “focused on helping Cisco channel partners grow their wallet share through accessing new buying centers, building business outcome solutions on top of Cisco platforms, developing strong customer success practices, and evolving to new business models and routes to market,” according to her LinkedIn.
Her resume also includes more than six years with The Boston Consulting Group, according to her LinkedIn. She left BCG in 2015 with the title of principal consultant and head of consulting and business services.
She “was accountable for lifecycle management of all consulting and business services staff” and “led operations for the BCG Los Angeles office and West Coast system,” according to her LinkedIn.
Cindi Johnson
New Relic hired Cindi Johnson in June as senior director of global partner programs, according to her LinkedIn account.
Johnson came to the San Francisco-based provider of software performance monitoring tools after more than three years with Tanium, according to her LinkedIn.
At Tanium, she had “end-to-end responsibilities for onboarding, deal reg & incentives, sales and technical enablement, competency, services growth, and business expansion for partner ecosystem growing by 100%+ annually.”
Before Tanium, she worked at VMware for more than seven years, according to her LinkedIn. She left VMware in 2019 with the title of senior manager of the partner experience for worldwide partner programs. In this role, she “drove broad transformation of outdated global partner program to engage, recognize and reward partners more holistically across new and traditional business models - cloud, services and resell.”
Jason Roszak
Jason Roszak joined Microsoft in June as chief product officer of the Enterprise Management Experience group, according to his LinkedIn.
“In EMX we are helping organizations transform to create rich and secure experiences for their employees,” Roszak wrote on his LinkedIn. “I‘m thrilled to be a part of such an important mission!”
Roszak came to the Redmond, Wash.-based tech giant after more than eight years with VMware. He left VMware with the title of vice president of product management.
In this role, he was “responsible for business and product strategy, product management and user experience for our UEM and Intelligence businesses” and “responsible for driving and delivering an integrated product across all facets of end-user computing including mobility, desktop management, identity, data and apps via our WS1 Cloud marketplace,” according to his LinkedIn.
Jeetu Patel
Jeetu Patel joined the board of directors of Equinix in June, according to his LinkedIn account.
Equinix is a Redwood City, Calif.-based data center and colocation provider. Patel is also a Cisco executive vice president overseeing the security and collaboration business units. He has been with Cisco for more than two years, according to his LinkedIn.
Patel also serves on the board of commercial real estate services company JLL. His resume includes more than five years with Box. He left the company in 2020 with the title of chief product officer and chief strategy officer, according to his LinkedIn.
Carol Wilder
Dell Technologies brought on Carol Wilder last month as its new vice president of integrated solutions, product, according to her LinkedIn.
She came to the Round Rock, Texas-based tech giant after more than a year with Puppet, according to her LinkedIn. She left Puppet with the title of vice president of products. In this role, she led “Product Management, UX, Corporate Research, Technical Publications and Community Engagement Function” and “transformed the teams into a customer outcome based in both on-premise software and we are embarking on Saas solutions.”
Wilder previously worked at Intel Corp. for more than four years, according to her LinkedIn. She left in 2020 with the title of senior director of product and portfolio management and strategic alliances for the data center solution group.
In this role, she “led Product management team to optimize solutions for operational lifecycle for data center customers” and used “hardware telemetry within data center industry with key partners to quickly identify infrastructure issues and proactively address operational issues,” according to her LinkedIn.
Jacqueline Morgan
Jacqueline Morgan joined VMware last month, taking on the title of vice president of industry solutions, according to a post on LinkedIn.
In this role, Morgan leads “a team of talented architects, industry SMEs, developers and strategists to build out the transformative industry solutions needed to advance farther into the next internet age,” according to her LinkedIn. “We are bringing together the VMware portfolio with the leading industry POVs to provide enterprise customers an expanded platform of critical infrastructure solutions to accelerate innovation and address their most complex information technology infrastructure needs.”
Morgan came to the Palo Alto, Calif.-based virtualization and cloud computing company after more than a year with Cognizant, according to her LinkedIn. She left Cognizant with the title of head of industry solutions, businesses development, go to market and innovation. She’s worked for Cognizant for more than three years through the years.
In this role, she was “responsible for business development and our Tech organization‘s broad-based solution/innovation capabilities, leading the evolution of the team including development, and practices of the Innovation group,” according to her LinkedIn.
She also oversaw “the team‘s support for a full lifecycle of solution & innovation efforts including the support of high impact innovation proposals, creation of the Tech BU strategic solution portfolio, cross enterprise solution architecture, detailed solution/innovation design, and integration with multi service line enterprise technical architectures,” according to her LinkedIn.
Morgan’s resume includes more than four years with Accenture. She left the company in 2020 with the title of senior director of solutions go to market, business development and innovation for software and platforms, according to her LinkedIn.
Sid Earley
IBM subsidiary Red Hat hired Sid Earley in June as vice president of ecosystem transformation, according to a tweet.
Earley came to the Raleigh, N.C.-based open source software services provider after more than 6 years with Tech Data and its successor, TD Synnex, according to his LinkedIn. He left TD with the title of vice president of vendor solutions.
In this role, he directed, managed and led “strategic activities including P&L for the TD SYNNEX HPE, Cohesity, Nutanix, and Hitachi Vantara businesses, sales and marketing management and operations, policy and program implementation, and financial management” and provided “leadership to a team of sales, operations, product marketing, technical, and other cross-functional personnel operating together to grow the TD SYNNEX Advanced Solutions business,” according to his LinkedIn.
Before Tech Data, Earley worked for about five years at VMware, according to his LinkedIn. He left the company in 2016 with the title of senior director of global partner solutions.

Mathew Hein
Last month, Mathew Hein joined Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) as chief strategy officer and senior vice president of corporate development, according to his LinkedIn.
He “will be responsible for advancing the company’s strategy across an expanded market for high-performance and adaptive computing solutions and will work closely with the AMD executive team to accelerate the company’s next phase of growth,” according to a company statement on the appointment. Hein will report to AMD CEO Lisa Su.
Hein came to the Santa Clara, Calif.-based chipmaker after more than seven years with DBO Partners, according to his LinkedIn. He left the investment banking firm with the title of partner and served as lead adviser to AMD on past opportunities.
Motti Finkelstein
Motti Finkelstein joined Intel in June as corporate vice president and digital transformation officer, according to his LinkedIn.
Finkelstein came to the Santa Clara, Calif.-based chipmaker after more than a year with BMO Financial Group, according to his LinkedIn. He left the company with the title of chief technology officer for capital markets.
He previously worked at McKinsey & Co. for more than a year, according to his LinkedIn. He left the consulting firm in 2021 with the title of senior adviser.
His resume includes more than 18 years at Citi, according to his LinkedIn. He left Citi in 2020 with the title of chief technology officer for the Americas and managing director of global strategy planning.
Steve Scarlett
In June, Steve Scarlett returned to Ericsson, taking on the role of chief technology officer of hyperscale cloud providers, according to his LinkedIn.
Scarlett came to the Sweden-based telecommunications giant after more than a year with Capgemini, according to his LinkedIn. He left Capgemini with the title of North America chief technology officer for the communications industry.
He previously worked at Ericsson for more than two years, leaving in 2012 with the title of director of business development and architecture for the AT&T global account, according to his LinkedIn. In this role, he worked on macro and small cell mobile backhaul, mobile packet core and broadband access.
In Scarlett’s time away from Ericsson, he also worked at Nokia for more than eight years, according to his LinkedIn.
He left Nokia in 2021 with the title of head of technology, according to his LinkedIn. In this role, he was “driving the software transformation of the telecommunications network - NFV, SDN, Containers and all of the supporting technologies and business processes.”
Julius Farrington
Julius Farrington joined Salesforce in June as vice president of Americas field marketing for its Tableau subsidiary, according to his LinkedIn.
Farrington came to the San Francisco-based customer relationship management tools provider after more than two years with Amazon Web Services, according to his LinkedIn. He left AWS with the title head of enterprise segments and audience marketing.
In this role, he was the “Americas Marketing Leader for our Enterprise, ISV, Private Equity, and Digital Native businesses along with leading ABM and Audience Marketing,” according to LinkedIn.

Christian Slike
Last month, Christian Slike joined Deloitte as a vice president of marketing, according to his LinkedIn.
In this role, he will be a “marketing Leader for Deloitte Digital, Customer & Marketing and Human Capital practices,” according to his LinkedIn.
Slike came to the London-based global systems integrator after more than two years with Persistent Systems, according to his LinkedIn. He left Persistent with the title of vice president of industry marketing.

David Newell
In June, David Newell was hired by EPAM Systems as vice president of technology solutions, according to his LinkedIn.

Tony Gomez joined Huntress in June as vice president of sales, according to his LinkedIn.

Ken Liang
Peraton hired Ken Liang last month as vice president of IT operations and infrastructure, according to his LinkedIn.
Liang came to the Herndon, Va.-based company – No. 20 on CRN’s 2022 Solution Provider 500 – after more than 19 years with Eaton, according to his LinkedIn. He left Eaton with the title of director of IT and the infrastructure center of excellence.

Brian Swisher
Last month, Advizex brought on Brian Swisher as executive vice president, according to his LinkedIn.

Sal Franco
Sal Franco returned to PTC last month as vice president and global internet of things (IoT) sales leader, according to his LinkedIn.
Franco came back to the Boston-based industrial workplace services provider after more than a year with TraceLink, according to his LinkedIn. He left TraceLink with the title of vice president of sales for the Americas.

John Steinhauer
Diversified hired John Steinhauer last month as senior vice president of workplace sales, according to his LinkedIn.
Steinhauer came to the Kenilworth, N.J.-based company – No. 46 on CRN’s 2022 Solution Provider 500 – after less than a year with Kinly. He left the company with the title of senior vice president and head of sales and marketing for the Americas, according to his LinkedIn.

Casandra Brice
N-Able hired Casandra Brice in June, giving her the title of vice president of global customer success, according to her LinkedIn.
Brice came to the Austin, Texas-based customer systems monitoring company aimed at managed service providers after more than six years with Ultimate Software and its successor, Ultimate Kronos Group, according to her LinkedIn. She left the company with the title of vice president of customer success for benefit software services.

Sean J. Kerins
Arrow Electronics promoted Sean J. Kerins to president and CEO in June, according to his LinkedIn.
Kerins previously served as chief operating officer of the Centennial, Colo.-based distributor. He’s worked at Arrow for about 15 years.
Previously he served as president of Arrow’s global enterprise computing solutions business starting in 2014, and prior to that was president of the North American region for that business.
Before joining Arrow in 2007, Kerins spent ten years at EMC in sales and professional services roles, held senior roles at Coopers & Lybrand Consulting, and was an industrial engineer at General Motors.
Renée Lawrence
Renée Lawrence joined VPLS in June as vice president of global marketing, according to her LinkedIn account.
Lawrence came to the Los Angeles-based company – a member of CRN’s 2022 Managed Service Provider 500 – after more than four years with Burwood Group, according to her LinkedIn. She left Burwood with the title of head of marketing.

Seshi Vanguru
In June, Trianz hired Seshi Vanguru as its new chief revenue officer for enterprise digital transformation (DT) services and digital product engineering services, according to a company statement.
In this role, Vanguru “will scale our Digital Services business with our IP-led services model and help clients transform faster and better,” according to the statement.

Keith Marra
Keith Marra joined TierPoint in June, taking on the title of vice president of solutions engineering, according to his LinkedIn account.

Marra worked at Sungard Availability Services for more than 14 years. He left Sungard in 2021 with the title of vice president of global solutions engineering, according to his LinkedIn. He came to Sungard with the 2007 acquisition of VeriCenter.
Michael Dietze
Thrive hired Michael Dietze last month as vice president of channel sales, according to his LinkedIn.
Dietze came to the Foxborough, Mass.-based company – a member of CRN’s 2022 Managed Service Provider 500 – after more than six years with TierPoint, according to his LinkedIn. He left the company with the title of sales alliances director.
He came to TierPoint in 2015 with the $575 million acquisition of Windstream’s data center assets. Dietze had joined Windstream in 2012 as a channel manager, according to his LinkedIn.
Siddhartha Agarwal
In June, Siddhartha Agarwal joined Databricks as vice president of product management, according to his LinkedIn.
In this role, he will “create & build their outbound product management team” and help “data teams harness the power of data + AI to solve the world‘s toughest problems, increasing awareness of the product portfolio, and growing market share,” according to his LinkedIn.
Agarwal came to the San Francisco-based data analytics company after about three years with Google, according to his LinkedIn. He left Google with the title of managing director of software-as-a-service partnerships and co-innovation at Google Cloud.

Pete Bell
Otava hired Pete Bell in June as senior vice president of sales, according to his LinkedIn.

Tim Benroeck
Tim Benroeck joined Snowflake in June as industry chief technology officer for retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG), according to his LinkedIn.
Benroeck came to the Bozeman, Mont.-based data analytics and cloud computing company after more than eight years with Microsoft, according to his LinkedIn. He left Microsoft with the title of chief cloud solutions architect for strategic retail and CPG.

Curt Ohrt
Last month, Oracle hired Curt Ohrt as senior vice president of health care platforms, according to his LinkedIn.
In this role, he is responsible for “building, owning, and operating the healthcare platforms that enable us to make the world healthier while also reducing healthcare costs per capita,” according to his LinkedIn.
In June, Oracle completed its acquisition of health care information system provider Cerner.
Ohrt came to the Austin, Texas-based database and technology giant after more than 18 years with Amazon, according to his LinkedIn. He left the company with the title of vice president of software development for Amazon Web Services’ data center software.
In this role, he led “the AWS Supply Chain, Directed Work, Hardware Monitoring and Vetting, and Datacenter Systems organizations comprised of about 1,500 folks,” according to his LinkedIn.
