Citrix Brings In New Execs From HP, Cisco, Symantec

Bob Schultz, a nine-year HP veteran, is the new group vice president and general manager of Citrix's Enterprise Desktops and Applications division. At HP, Schultz was vice president of operations, planning and strategy in HP's enterprise servers, storage, and networking business (ESSN).

Schulz was also senior vice president and general manager of HP's Enterprise Storage and Server Software unit, a group formed in January 2007 to oversee HP's management, virtualization and IT automation offerings.

Shankar Iyer, a Cisco executive who joined the San Jose, Calif.-based networking giant through its 2007 acquisition of WebEx, will assume the title of vice president of product management in Citrix's Receiver and End-user Services division. At Cisco, Iyer was vice president of products in the WebEx division and helped establish a cloud applications business unit for enterprises.

Citrix Receiver is a free product that acts as a front door for enterprise applications stored on XenDesktop and XenApp servers in the customer's data center, delivering them to notebooks, tablets and mobile devices.

Erin Hintz, who spent 15 years at Symantec in a variety of marketing and product management roles, is now vice president of global marketing and ecommerce in Citrix's Online Services Division. At Symantec, Hintz was vice President of worldwide marketing for the Norton consumer business.
