Citrix, Tibco Leadership Post-Merger: Who Stays, Who Goes?
The new leadership team of Citrix and Tibco’s parent organization—the Cloud Software Group, headed by CEO Tom Krause—is now set, with some longtime executives getting promoted and others off to find new roles.
With the Citrix-Tibco merger deal at last complete, the new leadership of the companies’ parent organization, Cloud Software Group (CSG) , has been announced, with some longtime Citrix and Tibco executives getting promoted and others off to find new roles.
A website for CSG reveals the new team led by CEO Tom Krause, himself a hire from Broadcom after the chipmaker announced its acquisition of VMware. Two Citrix executives and two Tibco executives were promoted to lead business units within CSG—Citrix, NetScaler, Tibco and “enterprise applications,” which include Tibco’s ibi and Jaspersoft.
Citrix and Tibco will remain separate business units within CSG with separate branding, according to the website.

Meanwhile, Krause has selected three C-level executives for CSG, two of whom were promoted from Tibco, one from Citrix.
Hector Lima, Citrix’s executive vice president and chief customer officer, now has the title of executive vice president of field and channel sales with CSG, according to the website.
CRN has learned that executives who are not with CSG or any of its subsidiaries include Scott Roza, Tibco president and global head of customer operations; Tim Minahan, Citrix’s executive vice president of business strategy and chief marketing officer; and Ricardo Johnson, Citrix’s CISO.
Here’s who’s new, who stayed and who is gone at CSG, Citrix and Tibco.
The Man At The Top: Tom Krause
In July, Tom Krause was named as the CEO of the combined Citrix-Tibco company, now revealed to be parent organization CSG.
Krause was a key negotiator in Broadcom’s upcoming $61 billion purchase of virtualization and cloud software superstar VMware. Once VMware was acquired by Broadcom, it was set to become part of Broadcom’s Software Group under Krause’s leadership.
Krause first joined Broadcom in 2012 and became its CFO a few years later.
In 2020, he was promoted to lead the chip company’s six software divisions as president of Broadcom’s Software Group, which he helped form.
During his Broadcom tenure, he drove the acceleration of innovation and the building of a portfolio of business software that modernized, optimized and protected the world’s most complex hybrid IT environments, according to a release.
Sridhar Mullapudi
The 6 GMs: Four From Citrix, Two From Tibco
CSG’s leadership includes six general managers for separate business units, all of whom report directly to Krause.
Four Citrix executives have been promoted to the general manager positions of Citrix, NetScaler, XenServer and ShareFile, now separate business units within CSG. Two Tibco executives have been promoted to general managers of Tibco and a separate business unit dubbed “enterprise applications,” which include Jaspersoft and ibi.
Citrix Chief Product Officer Sridhar Mullapudi is the general manager of Citrix, according to CSG. In his chief product officer role, Mullapudi oversaw the $3.2 billion product portfolio of Citrix and a team of product managers, user experience designers and researchers in the U.S., Europe, China and India, according to CSG.
Mullapudi has been with Citrix for 22 years, according to his LinkedIn bio.
Abhilash Verma, vice president of product management for application delivery and security at Citrix, has been named general manager of the separated NetScaler business unit.
Verma “is responsible for the strategic direction of Citrix Application Delivery and Security product portfolio,” according to CSG. He’s been with Citrix for more than 18 years, according to his LinkedIn bio.
Tibco COO Matt Quinn has been named general manager of Tibco, according to CSG. As COO, Quinn managed “the company’s day-to-day operations and is instrumental in the growth and development of Tibco’s products and technologies, including the Tibco Connected Intelligence Cloud.” Quinn has been with Tibco for more than 25 years, according to his LinkedIn bio.
Ali Ahmed, Tibco’s senior vice president of engineering, has been named general manager of enterprise applications. As senior vice president of engineering at Tibco, Ahmed led “enterprise solutions engineering, products and technology,” according to CSG.
He has worked at Tibco for more than 19 years, according to his LinkedIn bio.
Kurt Heusner, Citrix’s senior vice president of global emerging sales, has been promoted to general manager of the ShareFile business unit, CRN has learned. Heusner has been with Citrix for more than 11 years, according to his LinkedIn bio.
Jacus de Beer, Citrix’s director of engineering for hybrid cloud platforms, is the new general manager of XenServer, CRN has learned. De Beer has worked at Citrix for more than eight years, according to his LinkedIn bio.
Meanwhile, former Citrix CEO David Henshall announced this month that he joined the board of HashiCorp and Feedzai.
Former Tibco CEO Dan Streetman left the company in October. In September, he announced that he’d become CEO of another Vista Equity portfolio company, Allvue Systems.
Hector Lima
Two Sales Leaders
CSG has promoted two Citrix executives to the most senior sales leaders of the new parent organization, according to the CSG website. Both sales leaders report to Krause.
Hector Lima, Citrix’s executive vice president and chief customer officer, now has the title of executive vice president of field and channel sales with CSG, according to the website.
Lima “leads the global sales, channel ecosystem and customer experience organization,” according to CSG. He’s been with Citrix for more than 20 years.
In a post on LinkedIn, Lima said that Citrix and Tibco will “make focused investments in our core products and enable us to accelerate our cloud transformation” and work to help customers “succeed, excel, adapt, transform and meet the challenges facing modern enterprises across private, public, managed and sovereign cloud environments.”
“As a customer and partner, you should continue to engage with your account and supports teams with whom you are currently working,” Lima said. “This is an exciting inflection point for both companies, and we look forward to a great future helping customers and partners apply technology to maximize value.”
Leanne Taylor, named Citrix’s senior vice president and COO in January, has been promoted to CSG’s global customer operations senior vice president.
She’s been with Citrix for more than three years. Before becoming Citrix’s COO, she was COO of the Asia- Pacific division. Her resume also includes more than three years with SAP, according to her LinkedIn bio.
Vivek Rao
Two Services And Support Leaders
An executive from Citrix and an executive from Tibco are now the top services and support senior vice presidents for their business units. They report directly to Krause.
Vivek Rao, Tibco senior vice president of global services, is now senior vice president of Tibco customer success. Rao has been with Tibco for more than seven years, according to his LinkedIn bio.
He previously worked at Unisys—No. 31 on CRN’s 2022 Solution Provider 500—for about seven years, according to his LinkedIn bio. He left Unisys with the title of vice president and general manager of global customer operations.
Scott Harris, Citrix’s vice president of global services, is now senior vice president of Citrix customer success. Harris has worked with Citrix for about nine years, according to his LinkedIn bio.
He came to Citrix after about 14 years with Dell, according to his LinkedIn bio. Harris left Dell in 2012 with the title of executive director for Dell global infrastructure services.
Tom Berquist
Three C-Level Leaders
Aiding Krause with corporate functions are three C-level executives, two promoted from Tibco, one from Citrix.
Tibco CFO Tom Berquist is now CSG’s CFO, according to the company. He has worked with Tibco for about seven years.
Tibco CIO Rani Johnson is now CSG’s CIO, according to the company. She reports to Krause. She has worked with Tibco for about two years, according to her LinkedIn bio.
Johnson previously worked at SolarWinds for more than three years, according to her LinkedIn bio. She left the company with the title of senior vice president and CIO.
Tony Gomes, Citrix executive vice president and chief legal officer, is now CSG’s chief legal and administrative officer. He has worked with Citrix for more than 14 years.
Jitendra Deshpande
Three Engineering Leaders
CSG named three heads of engineering, all of whom report to the general managers of their respective business units.
Jitendra Deshpande, Citrix’s senior vice president of cloud and server engineering, is now senior vice president and head of engineering for Citrix. He reports to Citrix General Manager Mullapudi, who reports to Krause. Deshpande has been with Citrix for about 20 years.
Randy Menon, Tibco’s senior vice president and general manager of Connect—the company’s integration, APIs, events and cloud business unit—is now Tibco’s senior vice president and head of engineering, according to CSG.
Menon reports to Tibco General Manager Quinn, who reports to Krause. Menon has worked at Tibco for about 12 years.
Anil Shetty, Citrix’s vice president of engineering, is now CSG’s senior vice president and head of engineering for the NetScaler business unit. Shetty reports to NetScaler General Manager Verma, who reports to Krause.
Shetty has worked at Citrix for more than 17 years, according to his LinkedIn bio. He joined Citrix with the 2005 acquisition of NetScaler, where he had worked for about seven years.
Scott Roza
Scott Roza Is No Longer With The Company
CRN has learned that among the executives no longer with CSG is Scott Roza, Tibco president and global head of customer operations.
Roza joined Tibco in 2019, according to his LinkedIn account. Before Tibco, he worked at Clearwater Analytics for about a year.
Tim Minahan Is No Longer With The Company
CRN has confirmed that Tim Minahan, Citrix’s executive vice president of business strategy and chief marketing officer, is no longer with CSG or its subsidiaries.
Minahan joined Citrix in 2015. He led corporate strategy development and execution, global marketing, communications, pricing, packaging and brand strategy for the company, according to his LinkedIn bio.
Among his accomplishments with Citrix were transforming the “shrinking on-premise business to high-growth SaaS operating model, creating a $2 billion SaaS ARR business, growing at 35% and more than doubling market cap,” according to his LinkedIn bio.
Minahan also “transitioned from a fragmented, episodic marketing structure to unified multi-channel full-funnel marketing model, driving 41% increase in annual pipeline and 35%+ SaaS ARR bookings growth,” according to his LinkedIn bio.
He previously worked at SAP, leaving the company in 2015 after more than two years, according to his LinkedIn bio. He left the enterprise applications giant with the title of senior vice president and chief marketing officer of SAP Cloud.
Joseph Kim
Joseph Kim No Longer With The Company
CRN has learned that Joseph Kim, Citrix executive vice president and chief product and technology officer, is no longer with the company.
Kim had been with Citrix for about two years, according to his LinkedIn bio.
Before joining Citrix, Kim worked at SolarWinds for about five years, according to his LinkedIn bio. In 2020, he left SolarWinds with the title of executive vice president of engineering and global chief technology officer.
In this role, he “was responsible for the overall technology strategy, direction and execution for all SolarWinds products and systems for both SolarWinds (SWI) and N-Able (NABL),” according to his LinkedIn bio.
His resume includes more than four years with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, leaving the company in 2016 as vice president and general manager of the transform business, according to his LinkedIn.
Ricardo Johnson
Ricardo Johnson No Longer With The Company
CRN has learned that Ricardo Johnson, Citrix’s CISO, is no longer with the company.
Johnson had joined Citrix in March. He was “responsible for Citrix’s product engineering and corporate security programs, including board reporting,” and wanted to “orchestrate ultra-talented and brilliant Citrix engineers via collaborative programs to ensure our portfolio of products and services are worthy of our customers’ trust,” according to his LinkedIn bio.
Johnson previously worked at Dropbox for more than two years, leaving with the title of head of security, risk and governance for product engineering and ITS, according to his LinkedIn bio. In this role, he was “responsible for the identification and mitigation of risks as it relates to threat detection & response, data privacy, IT security architecture, and enterprise technology solutions for product engineering and IT organizations,” and he would “partner with business unit leaders to design modern and effective ways to automate the execution, remediation, monitoring, and enforcement of controls.”
His resume also includes more than five years with CrowdStrike, which he left in 2019 with the title of senior director of security, risk and compliance, according to his LinkedIn bio. He also worked at Burger King for more than two years, leaving in 2011 as chief privacy and IT compliance officer.
Christian Reilly
Christian Reilly No Longer With The Company
Christian Reilly, a Citrix vice president and head of the technology strategy organization, posted on LinkedIn on Friday to say he has left the company. In his post, he included the quote, “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened,” attributing it to author Dr. Seuss.
Reilly joined Citrix in 2015, according to his LinkedIn bio. But he has worked with the company and technology for 20-plus years as a customer and customer advisory board member.
“As the company enters a new era, the opportunities remain and I am sure that the brilliant folks at Citrix will continue to deliver on our market leading position,” Reilly said. “I wish you all continued success.”
His post received more than 170 comments Friday, including ones by current Citrix employees, IGEL Technology CEO Jed Ayres, former Citrix President and CEO Mark Templeton, Rimo3 CEO Mike Welling, Helient Systems Chief Operating Officer Will Fulmer, VMware end-user computing Chief Technology Officer Shawn Bass and Chalan Aras, a chief product officer with Deloitte.
