HPE’s Former Channel Chief Leslie Maher Joins Virtana

HPE’s former North American channel chief Leslie Maher is Virtana’s new global channels and alliances leader.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s former top North American channel and sales executive, Leslie Maher, has joined hybrid cloud standout Virtana to lead its global channels and alliances.

Maher—who has been recognized by CRN as one of the 50 Most Influential Channel Chiefs and 100 Most Powerful Women of the Channel during her eight-year tenure at HPE—said she’s “excited” to join Palo Alto, Calif.-based Virtana as the company’s new vice president of global channels and strategic alliances.

“I look forward to jumping in to grow existing alliances and increasing partner engagement, which will create greater value for customers with our hybrid cloud capabilities,” Maher said in a statement.

Maher held top executive roles at Sun Microsystems and Cisco before joining HPE in 2014. She was HPE’s vice president of North America Channels and Ecosystem for several years. Maher left HPE in October as vice president of sales.

Maher will now be responsible for managing and developing all partner routes to market for Virtana, including solution providers, MSPs, system integrators, distributors and vendor strategic alliances.

Virtana has bullish plans for Maher as she brings a solid background in building high-performing teams across enterprise sales, specialized product sales, inside sales and SMB, channels and alliances, and product category management.

Virtana was named in CRN’s list of 20 Coolest Cloud Monitoring and Management Companies of 2023.

Virtana provides a multi-cloud insights platform aimed at simplifying the performance, optimization, movement, and monitoring of workloads across public, private, hybrid cloud, and on-premises environments.

The cloud company’s SaaS Virtana Platform allows enterprises to efficiently monitor their infrastructure, optimize their costs, and right size workloads across their hybrid cloud infrastructure.
