Dell VP Jumps To Park Place Technologies As New CRO
The data center solution provider has hired yet another top executive from Dell Technologies as Park Place Technologies continues to invest heavily in recruiting top executive talent.
Fast-growing Park Place Technologies has nabbed yet another Dell Technologies top executive with the hiring of sales leader Michael Vedda as the company’s first ever chief revenue officer.
Vedda was previously vice president of sales for the Americas for Dell EMC’s Data Protection Solutions business, responsible for driving data protection revenue across America, Canada and South America. He spent more than 15 years at Dell EMC before joining Park Place Technologies where he is now tasked with overseeing global sales and acquisitions as well as sales recruitment and development.
Vedda said he’s excited to join the Cleveland, Ohio-based company that is “experiencing unprecedented” growth across the globe.
“It’s an exciting time to join Park Place, a true market leader, as they expand their maintenance services to incorporate discovery, monitoring, support, and optimization,” he said in a statement, “As organizations continue to focus on digital transformation, they will lean into strategic partners that can help IT drive value back into their business. Our services and software solutions are uniquely positioned to do just that.”

Park Place, which made the Elite 150 of CRN’s 2020 Managed Service Provider 500 list, also recently hired Kathie Lyons as its new executive vice president and general manager of its ParkView services business. Lyons previously served as Dell EMC’s vice president of Enterprise Programs and National Security. Additionally, the company snagged David Cox, who held top positions at Dell EMC from 2004 to 2015, as Park Place’s new chief operating officer in September 2019.
Park Place services data center storage, servers and network hardware from tier-one providers, such as Dell Technologies, and supports over 58,000 data centers in more than 150 countries. The company has historically been a standout in the data center third-party maintenance space but is aggressively broadening its monitoring portfolio and worldwide go-to-market strategy, growing total revenue by over 100 percent from 2017 to 2018.
Park Place president and CEO Chris Adams said hiring Vedda, who has nearly 25 years of sales leadership experience, will “greatly enhance” his company’s sales team and market momentum. “Michael has a proven track record, consistently exceeding quotas and building highly successful and loyal international teams,” Adams said in a statement.
In addition to the hiring of Vedda, Park Place said today that Andrew Gehrlein has joined the company as its new chief financial officer to oversee its financial strategy. Gehrlein brings 30 years of experience with him, most recently serving as CFO of Valtris Specialty Chemicals.
Another big hire came in March, when Park Place nabbed former NetApp channel chief Jeff McCullough as its new global vice president of channel sales, tasked with building the company’s first formal channel program.
Since being acquired by private equity firm GTCR in late 2015, Park Place has acquired a total of thirteen companies or strategic business units, including network monitoring software specialist Entuity and the network operations center (NOC) business of IntelliNet.
Founded in 1991, Park Place is a data center maintenance, monitoring and services specialist that aims to simplify the management of IT for its more than 17,000 customers worldwide. The company’s flagship offering is its automated monitoring ParkView platform, which integrates 24/7 global customer service and advanced engineering through a single pane of glass to deliver immediate responses to maintenance needs.
