Trace3 Acquires Lasalle Solutions Expanding Footprint And Creating New Unit

‘We’re going to create a new lifecycle management business unit within Trace3,’ says Joe Quaglia, president of Trace3. ‘What we’ve learned is that LAMP has a great brand in the market, it’s very purposeful in the way that it builds IT asset management and builds a technology asset repository where we can get access to a list of an organization’s IT assets and we can manage those assets.’

“We’re going to create a new lifecycle management business unit within Trace3,” Quaglia said. “What we’ve learned is that LAMP has a great brand in the market, it’s very purposeful in the way that it builds IT asset management and builds a technology asset repository where we can get access to a list of an organization’s IT assets and we can manage those assets.”

It gives the end customer a proactive refresh planning opportunity, budget spend predictability and negotiation leverage, he said.

“The ROI (return on investment) that customers have on the LAMP offering is quite unique,” he said. “We haven’t really seen anything in the market quite like it, so I think it’ll be great as we bring the LAMP offering to Trace3 customers.”

Lasalle Solutions, which is headquartered in Rosemont, Ill. and is listed on CRN’s 2021 Tech Elite 250 list, will bring along about 110 employees when the acquisition is finalized in April. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Right out of the gate, we loved their talent and we loved their management team,” Quaglia told CRN. “When you think of how difficult it is to attract talent…once we put the two companies together and add their talent to our talent, we thought was a differentiator.”

Their talent makes up an amazing culture which he said matches the culture of Trace3.

“It’s very much a winning culture,” he said. “It’s also a client-first culture, which is how we would describe Trace3’s culture.”

Lasalle also aligns with Trace3’s strategy to grow client engagement, services maturity, talent and expertise.

“This is an exciting time for our company,” Steven Robb, president of LaSalle Solutions, told CRN. “Our clients will benefit from an advanced portfolio of solutions, bringing together software, hardware, consulting and professional and managed services in areas like cloud security and data intelligence. On top of all of that, the emerging technology and trends prowess that Trace3 brings to market is a massive differentiator.”
