HP Elite X3 Windows Smartphone Is For Business People, Not Gamers
If you’re looking for a smartphone with the no-nonsense attitude of an old-school Blackberry and the streamlined design of an iPhone, look no further than HP’s new Elite X3, which is shipping now.
’We look at computing, and we think that increasingly there’s a lot of people that are going to be more mobile for sure,’ said HP Vice President and General Manager Michael Park. ’And there’s this whole class of BYO that’s come in vis-a-vis iOS and Android for personal devices, but for me this product has made a huge difference in that this is product that from the ground up is designed for work."
The Elite X3 is built less for gaming, and more for productivity. Users can access messages through email, Skype, and WhatsApp, and also maintain productivity with PowerPoint and Excel applications.
The phone features a 6-inch, OLED screen with terrific contrast, and the phone is durable against drops.
It has compatibility with most of the same apps as Android and iOS devices: Bloomberg News, Waze and Uber, to name a few.
’It’s a working device,’ Park said. ’This is the best Windows mobile device in market today, and quite frankly the only premium Windows device in market today."
