Software and cloud solution provider Converge Technology Solutions Thursday unveiled its 31st planned acquisition, this time acquiring San Diego-based Technology Integration Group.

San Diego-based Technology Integration Group, better known as TIG, brings to Toronto-based Converge Technology Solutions over 20 offices across North America and a wide range of capabilities to clients in enterprise, SMB, education, and government markets.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

TIG was founded 40 years ago as PC Specialists by Bruce Geier who ran the company until his death at the age of 68 in 2021. The company was one of the first solution providers to open an office in China, which it did in 2008 to capitalize on the growing Chinese PC market. It followed up in 2012 with the opening of a China-based cloud business.

TIG is the latest in a string of acquisitions by Converge Technology Solutions in its quest to build a nationwide solution provider practice.

In 2022 alone, Converge acquired Madison, Wisconsin-based Paragon Development Systems; Germany-based Visucom GmbH; Alberta, Canada-based Interdynamix; and Victoria, British Columbia-based 1CRM.

Neither Converge Technology Solutions nor TIG was available to respond to requests for further information from CRN.

However, Converge CEO Shaun Maine, in a prepared statement, said his company is excited to continue its strategy of growth and global expansion with TIG.

“TIG brings strong industry expertise across State, Local, and Education that we can leverage across North America and gives us additional presence in Canada, adding to our strength of offerings with the Canadian government. The combined strength of Converge and TIG’s ability to serve our clients in markets around the world will present an exciting opportunity for us to continue reaching our clients and solving their solution needs wherever they may be,” Maine said.
