Best States: The Biggest Solution Provider In Each State
CRN breaks out which solution providers in each state bring in the most revenue.
State Of The Channel
As solution providers and strategic service providers look for qualified people to fill technical, sales and management job vacancies, they are competing for talent with other businesses, the public sector—and even other solution providers.
Based on the 2021 CRN Solution Provider 500—our annual ranking of the largest solution providers in North America by revenue—we can see which companies hold the distinction of being the largest channel companies in each state.
The 2021 SP500 also provides insight about which states are home to the largest number of solution providers, a statistic that gives solution providers an idea of the degree of competition they face for new employees.
Despite all the stories about companies leaving California, the Golden State is No. 1 with 51 solution providers on the SP500 based there. Virginia, with 46 SP500 companies, isn’t far behind. They are followed by New York (39), Illinois (28) and Texas (23).
Eight states, meanwhile, have no SP500 channel companies within their borders this year: Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Montana, Nebraska, Vermont, West Virginia and Wyoming.
Here’s a look at the largest SP500 company in each state.
