Infosys Offers Cloud Ecosystem Hub

Outsourcing company Infosys unveiled its Infosys Cloud Ecosystem Hub, a service to help businesses access hybrid clouds.

The Bangalore, India-based company's hub offers a catalog to let businesses access technology and business services across multiple environments and provision IT infrastructure and platforms in a hybrid cloud environment.

A brokerage feature of the Infosys Cloud Ecosystem Hub lets businesses select, compare and deploy cloud services from across cloud providers, with monitoring and metering capabilities.

Infosys is teaming with more than 30 cloud providers, including Amazon Web Services, CA Technologies, Dell, Hitachi Data Systems, HP, IBM, Microsoft and VMware.

Logicalis Wins Cisco Cloud Builder Designation

Farmington Hills, Mich.-based managed services provider Logicalis said it has received the Cisco Cloud Builder designation within the Cisco Cloud Partner Program.

With the designation, Logicalis is recognized as competent to sell and implement Cisco cloud solutions. Logicalis has met the required competencies across all cloud infrastructure components, including security, networking, storage, compute and virtualization solutions; cloud management applications; and a formal cloud professional services practice.

Logicalis has partnerships with companies including Cisco, HP, IBM, CA Technologies, NetApp, VMware and ServiceNow. The Logicalis Group, a division of Datatec Limited, has annualized revenues of over $1.2 billion, from operations in the U.K., U.S., Germany, South America and Asia Pacific.

ScaleXtreme Supports Dell Cloud

ScaleXtreme, a provider of cloud-based systems management products, said it will offer support for the Dell Cloud with VMware vCloud Datacenter Services.

The Dell cloud with VMware vCloud Datacenter Service is an infrastructure-as-a-service, public cloud, hosted in Dell data centers.

San Mateo, Calif.-based ScaleXtreme said Dell customers can manage their Dell Cloud-based servers with ScaleXtreme. Managed service providers managing servers on the Dell Cloud can also use the ScaleXtreme product to manage multiple customer accounts running on the Dell Cloud.

ScaleXtreme offers a single view of an organization’s server environment in public and private clouds.

Nimbula, MapR Technologies Team To Offer Hadoop In Private Clouds

Cloud software company Nimbula and MapR Technologies, an open-source distribution for Apache Hadoop, teamed up to offer software to manage big data on Nimbula private clouds.

Nimbula Director, Nimbula's private cloud platform, will offer an interface to provision Hadoop and non-Hadoop workloads. Apache Hadoop is the open-source software platform that supports data-intensive distributed applications.

"Nimbula is excited to be working with MapR to deliver the industry's first turnkey Hadoop solution for private cloud," Jay Judkowitz, director of product marketing at Nimbula, said in a statement.

Moses Adds Microsoft Office To Its Cloud Service

Moses Cloud, which offers cloud services to SMBs, said it will add Microsoft Office 2010 integration to their product lineup.

Moses Cloud, of Naples, Fla., offers a set of business applications, hardware and support services, such as security, backup and recovery, accessible through a Web-based interface and private cloud-based infrastructure.
