The 10 Coolest Smartphones Of 2015 (So Far)
Smartphone Market Continues Success
It's only halfway through 2015, but already several smartphone vendors have lifted the curtain on their latest and greatest mobile devices.
Vendors have been hard at work this year flaunting their newest devices at trademark mobile events, such as the Consumer Electronics Show and Mobile World Congress.
In the first quarter of 2015, the global smartphone market saw a 16.7 percent year-over-year uptick, with vendors such as Samsung, Apple, Lenovo and Huawei leading the way, according to research company IDC.
Despite the release of several new smartphones, mobile vendors are facing challenges as demand heightens for emerging trends, such as larger phones, or "phablets," and an increased appetite for premium devices.
Following are the 10 of the hottest smartphones released in 2015, so far. For more on the "coolest" of 2015, check out "CRN's Tech Midyear In Review."

Apple's release of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus pushed the limits on consumer smartphone sizes with a 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus.
Though the company released its latest smartphone in September 2014, the iPhone 6 cannot be ignored in 2015, as the smartphone sales fueled Apple's best quarter in corporate history with 74.5 million iPhones sold in the first quarter of 2015.
Running on a 64-bit A8 chip with iOS 8, the iPhone 6 flaunts new features such as an extra security component called TouchID, mobile payment tool Apple Pay and improved sensors in the iSight camera to power slow-motion and time-lapse capture.
Apple's iPhone 6 starts at $199 while the iPhone 6 Plus goes for $299.

The smartphone costs $199.99 for the 32-GB version. The Galaxy S6 Edge is pricier than the Galaxy S6, at $299.99 for the 32-GB version.
