CES 2022: 10 Hot New HP Laptops And Devices
The announced PCs include the HP EliteBook 805 G9 Series, which will have Microsoft’s Windows 11 operating system and AMD’s Ryzen PRO 6000 Series processors.
Although Hewlett-Packard is among the multiple tech giants to drop out of physically attending CES 2022 this week, the vendor made major announcements around laptops and devices expected to release later this year.
The announced PCs include the HP EliteBook 805 G9 Series, which will have Microsoft’s Windows 11 operating system and AMD’s Ryzen PRO 6000 Series processors.
The Z2 Mini G9 and ZBook Firefly 14 G9 are among the new workstations HP has planned for this year, not to mention the HP Envy Desktop with a new digital workspace called Palette.

Devices meant to amplify the experience for HP customers include the E-series of conferencing monitors, which are Zoom certified and have a 5mp tiltable privacy webcam, lighting sensors, noise-canceling mics and other features.
HP will also roll out a series of curved displays and a series of webcam monitors.
Here’s a closer look at some of HP’s laptops coming in 2022.
HP EliteBook 805 G9 Series
The HP EliteBook 805 G9 Series of PCs will have Microsoft’s Windows 11 operating system and AMD’s Ryzen PRO 6000 Series processors, according to HP. Price information for the HP EliteBook 835 G9, HP EliteBook 845 G9 and HP EliteBook 865 G9 will become available closer to April.
The laptops weigh less than 4.5 pounds and have 16-inch diagonal screens available with the goal of reducing scrolling. The laptop has a larger clickpad ratio, redesigned keyboard and rounded, tapered edges, according to HP.
The 805 G9 Series have 5mp cameras, the HP Auto Frame feature that keeps users in frame as they move and two amps. The series has HP Dynamic Voice Leveling to automatically optimize voice clarity and noise reduction powered by artificial intelligence. Users can customize settings for conferencing in the myHP application.
HP Elite Dragonfly G3
One of HP’s devices coming in March is the HP Elite Dragonfly G3, according to the company. The Elite Dragonfly G3 comes with Windows 11, 12th generation Intel processors and 13.5-inch clamshell design.
The laptop comes in slate blue or natural silver and has a 3:2 aspect screen ratio. The laptop has HP Presence, four amps, HP Dynamic Voice Leveling to automate voice clarity and noise reduction that works with artificial intelligence.
The laptop’s intelligent charging capability learns users’ work patterns, according to HP. The company’s Wolf Security for Business aims to defend the laptop against malware and hacking. Auto Lock and Awake locks and wakes PCs when users leave and come back.
HP EliteBook 800 G9 Series
The EliteBook 800 G9 Series of PCs, also coming in March, have a new 16:10 ratio screen, larger clickpad ratio, HP Presence, optional auto-tracking 5mp camera and optional 5G connectivity.
These PCs are aimed at home and office computer users, according to HP.
The 830, 840 and 860 have DR5 memory and PCI Gen4 solid-state drives meant to improve work speed. Users can change audio and video settings in the myHP application.
HP Z2 Mini G9
The HP Z2 Mini G9 workstation, coming in March, is aimed at architects, graphic designers and other professionals who need high performance in small spaces.
The workstation has NVIDIA RTX graphics, next-gen Intel Core processors, including K-Series, allowing for transitions between multiple applications for design, rendering and simulation, according to the company.
The Mini can also power 2D to 3D workflows.
HP ZBook Firefly 14 G9
The ZBook Firefly 14 G9 workstation comes with a webcam enhanced by artificial intelligence, 16:10 HP DreamColor display, next-gen Intel Core processors, NVIDIA T550 laptop GPU and up to 64GB of memory.
These features are meant to help users open large files and run professional applications simultaneously for multitasking and increased productivity, according to HP.
HP will release the ZBook Firefly 14 G9 and 16 G9 in March.
HP Envy
The HP Envy Desktop PC should become available in the spring, according to the company.
The desktop has HP Palette, a new digital workspace. Palette includes Duet for HP to use tablets, phones and PCs as second displays and the HP QuickDrop application, which allows file transfer between devices.
Palette also includes PhotoMatch for photo search based on artificial intelligence-powered face recognition, according to HP.
The desktop has multiple high-speed ports and the ability to connect up to four 4K monitors. The Envy has up to a 12th Gen Intel Core i9 processor and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics, plus one touch tool-less expandability, according to HP.
HP E-Series Conferencing Monitor
Available for release this month is the E-series of conferencing monitors from HP.
These monitors have a 5mp tiltable privacy webcam, lighting sensors, noise-canceling mics and Zoom certification. Users can also connect their set up with one USB-C cable when moving between spaces to reduce clutter. They deliver up to 65W of laptop charging and use Windows Hello, a sign-in method from Microsoft that uses biometrics or codes.
The E24m starts at $399, the E27m at $549 and the E34m at $699, according to HP.
HP Webcam Monitor
HP will release this month the M24 and M27 Webcam Monitors, anmed for the available 23.8-inch and 27-inch available sizes.
The monitors have a 5mp camera, a physical sliding camera cover for privacy and HP Eye Ease, meant to reduce eye strain.
The M24 will start at $319.99 and the M27 will start at $359.99. Like the E-series of conferencing monitors, these monitors have a 5mp webcam and noise-canceling mics.
HP Z-Series G3 Curved Display
HP has a pair of curved displays that will become available this month.
The HP Z34c G3 Curved Display has a 34-inch screen, and the HP Z40c G3, has a 40-inch screen. They are priced starting at $949 and $1,499.99, respectively.
These displays are aimed at users who don’t want a dual monitor setup. This monitor has an integrated 4K webcam and a 5K:2K 40-inch screen. Its Thunderbolt 3 connection is fast enough to charge two PCs at once. Users can turn to HP Device Bridge 2.0 for multiple devices, files and projects.
HP ProBook 400 G9 Series
The HP ProBook 400 G9 Series of PCs come with upgradeable designs aimed at growing businesses, according to the company. The 15.6-inch ProBook 450 and the 14-inch ProBook 440 will be available in March.
This series has the latest Intel processor, multiple graphics options, and dual channel small outline dual in-line memory modules.
The laptops come with the optional HP Sure View Reflect integrated privacy screen, HP Wolf Security for Business and the ability to find PCs even when they are turned off by using the Tile application.
