Dell World Preview: Can Partners Expect Answers Around EMC Acquisition?

The Dell World Conference could not come at a better time for solution providers desperate for more details around its $67 billion acquisition of EMC.

But they might not get all the answers just yet.

’I think partners are going to be hungry for any information around what that deal means for them,’ CRN senior editor Matt Brown said on CRNtv. Brown will be covering the event from Austin, Texas.

’I don’t know that they can expect any serious, in-depth details about it, but I think what they probably will get is some reassurance from Dell, probably from Michael Dell himself, about his commitment to the channel,’ he said.

Brown hinted that partners could expect announcements around new incentives and other features in Dell’s partner programs, as well as a focus on Dell’s hardware product lines.
